Forming of sporting motion of invalids in Ukraine takes beginning from 1989 year. Exactly at this time began to be created athletic-sporting and health clubs of invalids. In subsequent these public associations became basis for creation of national federations of sport of invalids with the different types of defeats: locomotorium, by the defects of sight, ear and intellect. In 1992 years these four federations united in the National committee of sport of invalids of Ukraine.The swift splash of mass sport of invalids took place, when there was the founded activity of unique in Ukraine, and so far unique in the world of state control system by a physical culture and sport of invalids. After the estimations of the International paralimpic committee, international sporting federations, sport of invalids rates of development of paralimpic motion in Ukraine are the greatest in Europe for last chetirekhrichchya.
More than 50 thousand invalids and 22 tisyach–ditey of school age, visit athletic-rehabilitation groups and sporting sections from 27 types of sport. Annually over 250 championships are conducted in Ukraine, pershostey and cups from 19 types of sport among invalids with the defeats of sight, ear, locomotorium and intellect.
The leading sportsmen of Ukraine attained considerable successes in prestige international competitions, deservingly by submitting our independent state. Among them high rank „Honoured master of sport of Ukraine” it is appropriated 144 to the leading sportsmen, 391 is a rank „Master of sport of Ukraine of international class”, 719 is a rank „Master of sport of Ukraine”.
From the first debut of national collapsible command of Ukraine on X summer Paralimpic games in Atlanta, where our sportsmen extracted in a fight 1 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze rewards in track-and-field and swimming - to Õ²²² summer Paralimpic of games in Beijing, where achievement of command was become not only by 74 medals: 24 gold, 18 silver and 32 bronze, but also a fourth place in the world among 147 countries-participants and about 4000 athletes is conquered! And it only on three is a paralimpiyski offseason.
A similar dynamics is observed in all, without an exception, types of sport – the Ukrainian sportsmen with disability overcome new borders and, obtaining victories in many types of sport, proudly glorify on high paralimpic and deflimpic pedestals the name of our state. And it, even, without regard to swift development of sport of invalids in majority the world countries!
